WHYouth Honduras

Thank you for your interest in our WHYouth Honduras Missions Trip - 2018!

This is the first post of a blog that will provide daily highlights and prayer requests for the team and those we will be working with while we are in Honduras.  There will be pictures that will help describe the experience to you.  We will have each team member enter their experiences along with pictures of each day.  We will also highlight prayer requests/

This team has been hard at work for over 6 months as we prepare to go.  God has answered SO many prayer requests so far!  One of the biggest has been watching how God has provided financially for each team member! Thank you to our God and how he has used Westney Heights Baptist Church! Some have been able to raise more than what is required and have been able to support others on the team!  I have seen young people who have part time jobs, use their earnings to give to the team, and many on the team who have worked hard in different fundraisers to provide for the team!!  The young people on this team are amazing!!

God has also answered our prayers in regards to health. In spite of some concerns in this area God has Answered! The whole team is good to GO!
God has also answered with regard to Honduras itself.  The political situation in Honduras has remained relatively calm.

Prayer requests:
1.  Matthew 20:26  Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant!
Please pray for our team that we would have "servant" hearts toward each other.  May this transfer to Honduras that we can be "USEFUL" servants for God while we are there.

2.  1 Timothy 2:1-2  "I urge then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people _ for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."
Please pray for the government of Honduras and the political situation, that it would remain stable.

3. Deuteronomy 1:30-31  "The Lord your God who goes before you will himself fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness, where you have seen how the Lord you God carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way that you went until you came to this place.

Please pray for safety as we travel.  Also we have asked the airline to allow us to bring some baggage for free.  They do grant this to charities.  We have a lot of supplies to take down for our projects in Siguatepeque and we have asked Delta Airlines for help.  Please pray that this would happen.  It is about $2000 to transport our stuff down there.
